The solution-dye process involves mixing the color pigments in with master batch before they are made into filaments. Compared to traditional wet processes, solution-dyeing is a technique in a reduction in water, chemicals, energy usage and bi-products such as CO².

Due to Environmental awareness, more and more Solution dyed yarn are used in the textile industry, especially in Europe, America and China. However, traditional dyed yarn is sill more popular in Taiwan, due to the considerations of costs, MOQ, and the lack of color selections.
